What's New

New updates and improvements to UK Cinema API

Past showtimes are now free to download

New

🗂️ Introducing the showtime archive.

The new showtime archive preserves cinema showtimes from across the UK and Ireland once they've taken place, publishing one CSV file per day. It's completely free, with no account or API key needed.

Each file includes:

  • cinema, chain, location and start time for each showing
  • film details, including TMDB and IMDb IDs
  • screening language, subtitles, captions and formats such as IMAX and 3D
  • the lowest ticket price, where available
  • when we first listed each showing and when we last saw it

Film and cinema IDs match those used by the API, making it easy to combine historical and live data. Every file has a fixed URL, so you can fetch individual days programmatically.

The archive starts with showtimes from 18 October 2026, with the first file available the following morning. A new file is published each morning for the previous day.

The archive is licensed under CC BY 4.0. Use it for research, journalism, your own projects or anything else, with attribution to UK Cinema API.

For live and upcoming showtimes, there's the API.

Lite is now live

New

🎬 A smaller plan for smaller projects.

The new Lite plan gives you showtimes, films and booking links for up to 10 cinemas of your choice, anywhere in the UK and Ireland, for just £9.99/month.

Lite includes:

  • 1,000 requests a day, at 1 request/second
  • a 3-day free trial
  • the flexibility to change your cinema selection once a month

Once you've subscribed, pick your cinemas under Your cinemas in your account.

Lite uses v4 of the API. It doesn't include formats, accessibility information or ticket prices. For those, or for every cinema in a country, choose Pro or Ultra.

We're launching v4

New

🇮🇪 Ireland is now live on the UK Cinema API.

v4 expands the API beyond the UK for the first time, with cinema, film and showtime data for Ireland alongside the UK.

It also adds multi-country support, country and currency data, and improved support for multi-film screenings.

Existing v3 integrations will continue to work as normal.

Add Ireland from the pricing page or Billing for £49/month.

And next up: ticket pricing data.

We're bringing ticket pricing to the API through the new Ultra plan, with more details coming soon.
